CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CBL), today announced that
several of its shopping centers were honored at the International
Council of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”) MAXI Awards Ceremony held on
September 5, 2012, during the NOI+ Conference in Orlando, Florida. ICSC
recognizes best practices in retail marketing, new media strategies and
NOI Enhancement programs. Awards are given to innovative events and
programs that add value to shopping centers and companies across the
United States.
CBL MAXI Gold winners included the Madison Region in the NOI Enhancement
category for its play area sponsorship with Oscar Mayer and the United
Way; the Nashville Region in the Cause Marketing category for its work
with Chemo Duck; and the St. Louis Region in the PR category for its
Random Acts of Kindness program.
CBL MAXI Silver winners included the Carolina Region in the Cause
Marketing category for Operation Heartfelt Salute; and CBL Corporate in
the Cause Marketing category for its CBL Cares program as well as in the
Advertising category for the MORE advertising campaign.
The highlight of the MAXI Award Ceremony was the announcement that, in
addition to the MAXI Gold Award for Cause Marketing, Northpark Mall
received the ICSC Foundation Community Support Award for tornado relief
efforts in Joplin, Missouri. Established in 2006, the Foundation Award
program is a worldwide competition that recognizes corporate social
responsibility and honors the charitable initiatives of shopping centers
that enhance the local communities in which it operates.
